Shawn Luesing (RADT, Lead Aministrator) has taken on a new role as Lead Administrator at Clean & Sober Recovery Services. He’s transitioning from his role as Executive Chef, where he had spotted an opportunity to fulfill a higher calling: “It’s all about helping people,” explains Shawn. “And helping people helps me. It’s a good place to be.”
As Executive Chef, Shawn managed the kitchen and the purchase of food and supplies, which was a great training ground for his transition to Lead Administrator. But make no mistake: Shawn is hardly the new kid on the block. He's has been working at CSRS since its opening in 2008, first as a volunteer and then as a part-time attendant, while also managing a retail store full-time. Shawn even helped prepare the CSRS residence before the grand opening: doing yard work, painting, assembling furniture, setting up computers….Now, that’s what you call commitment!
In his new role as Lead Administrator, Shawn hopes to have an even bigger impact on people’s lives – both clients and staff. His goal is to ensure smooth and consistent operations that help everybody find their “personal best” at work. Shawn is also upping his own game as he pursues his CADC II credential. While he is currently focused on working with clients, he’ll be taking on more administrative duties down the road.
When he’s not at work, Shawn enjoys watching movies with his wife. He’s a big fan of movie director Christopher Nolan (think “Dunkirk” and “Memento”), as well as musicals. Two furry felines complete Shawn's family.
